Divide the field into management zones

Zones are the basis of variable rate: from a single survey, from satellite seasons since 2017 or from yield maps.

Vigour zones of a barley field

A field is not uniform: some areas always yield more, others always less, others change from year to year. Agronix defines zones in three ways: from a survey, to decide during the current season; from satellite seasons and yield maps, to know where the field is stable.

Zones from an index in a few steps

You choose the index, the cell width, usually the same as the machine's, and the classification method. Isolated cells are merged and the table shows the hectares and mean value of each zone.

  • Five classification methods
  • Cells as wide as the machine
  • Export as KML, shapefile, GeoJSON
Stable zones from several seasons

Stable zones

Find the areas that always yield more or less

Agronix reads the satellite seasons since 2017 at the peak of each season's growth and, where available, the yield maps. It derives three zones: high and stable, low and stable, unstable, with the method published in the agronomic literature.

  • Seasons since 2017, one by one
  • High, low and unstable zones with hectares
  • Rate per zone and files for machinery

Yield maps

Clean the combine's data

Yield data is loaded from the combine's files. Agronix discards invalid points with the published filters, out of field, header raised, start and end of pass, speed, overlaps, outliers, and brings the yield to standard moisture.

  • Discarded points with the reason
  • Comparison with the harvests in the records

How to use it

  1. 1

    Choose the basis

A survey, satellite seasons or yield maps.

  2. 2

    Set the classes

    Method and cell width.

  3. 3

    Check the zones

Hectares, mean and map of each one.

  4. 4

    Assign the rates

One per zone, then the file for the machine.
